Tess & Josh

Saying their vows in front of a circle covered with pink and white flowers, Tess and Josh put together a modern wedding party with a lot of luxury thrown in. The bride wore a heavily beaded gown and carried a bouquet of orchids, Tess’s favourite blooms, with the beach providing a gorgeous spot for photographs. Blossom Daisy Creative captured every precious moment.

The bride and groom met 10 years ago, through mutual friends. They were keen to throw a fresh and minimal day, with a beautifully relaxed atmosphere. Scroll on to see the beauty they created!

Tess was stunning in a heavily beaded and low cut wedding dress. She tells, ”My gown was custom made by Megan from Marquise Bridal. I looked so hard for a dress and had been to so many stores, just not 100% happy. The minute I found Marquise Bridal I just knew. I had my sister as a bridesmaid and Josh had no one, he got ready with his brothers and then had his best friends sign the registry and sit next to him on the night.” The groom wore a simple back suit with bow tie from Peter Jacksons.

Outside on the dramatic and modern balcony of RACV Torquay, Tess and Josh said ‘I do’. Standing in front of a magnificent circle of roses, dahlias and other pink and white blooms, the couple were surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The bride remembers, ”We wanted our ceremony to be a mix of funny and also have those touches of emotions of sharing with our loved ones.” The bride walked down the aisle to ‘Even When I’m Sleeping’ by Leonards Bride.

The floral ceremony backdrop by florist Botanica Fresh Flowers was a knockout, and used at the reception also. Tess shares, ”My flowers were my favourite part of the wedding, I didn’t want to compromise on these as I just knew it was a detail that would make it special. I had a lot of orchids as I am really obsessed with them but had some beautiful roses also in soft nude and pink tones. Laura our stylist went above and beyond. Our  backdrop was a bit risky in the wind so she sat behind it holding it the whole time and we all had no idea.”

Being close to the beach meant the bride and groom were able to escape for some photos, with Blossom Daisy Creative capturing the magic. The bride tells, ”Cass is the absolute best! I couldn’t recommend her highly enough, her photos are unreal but her service and personality is even better. Just a great person to have around you on your wedding day.”

While Wanderlust Creative styled the luxe ceremony setting, RACV Torquay was the venue to provide the goods. At the very beginning of the Great Ocean Road, looking out to the water and with a clean and modern aesthetic, the bride and groom were thrilled with their choice. They tell, ”RACV Torquay was incredible! It’s got the most relaxed vibe but also exceptional service and the building is to die for.”

Including beloved family in the day, the bride shares, ”My grandfather is an amazing public speaker. I wanted him as my MC and it was the best, everyone commented on how great it made the night! My sister and I are obsessed with the movie ‘A Star Is Born’ so we sang a duet of ‘Shallow’ at the end of the night. Very impromptu but it was hilarious and everyone around us was cheering. After a few drinks we though we sounded like Bradley & Gaga.” The newlyweds had their first dance to ‘Feels Like Home’ by Chantal Kreviazuk.

A huge thank you to our gorgeous bride and groom for sharing your breathtaking wedding day with us, and congratulations! Thank you also to Blossom Daisy Creative for your beautiful imagery,
