Whenever we dream of all things spring, we dream of beautiful soft pastels, an abundance of florals, or details that evoke moods of romance, of layers upon layers of beauty. Today’s editorial of softly romantic wedding ideas ticks all these boxes and so many more as it brings to life a beautiful spring wedding in the most stunning of hues.

With Shutter & Lace were behind the camera. The shoot was conceived and planned by the gown maestros at White Lily Couture, the team took inspiration from the gorgeous blank slate of waterside venue Pier 33. “The luxurious coastal feel was such a perfect base to create a soft, romantic and relaxed style. We knew this was a timeless look, so we began dreaming up ways to change up the feel,” tells Madeleine of White Lily Couture.

The beautiful white on white space was dressed in natural wood, wine and rattan textures and tones. Floral designer The Orange Blossom making the most of texture, creating a stunning garland table centrepiece, and understated bouquet all complemented with plenty of unique foliage. Prop It Pretty‘s linens and tabletop pieces adding to that stunning minimalist, romantic styling. The look complimented with white and grey paper pieces designed by Peach Perfect Stationery.

Our bride, Nikkita Smith wore blush , peach & gold inspired makeup styled by Boudoir Blush with her hair tousled in loose, natural waves by Rolling Scissors transformed into a romantic up-do for after dark. Three incredible gowns (including a watercolour inspired masterpiece in tones of white, blush and grey) transformed her look, of course, all from White Lily Couture.

Groom Tom Richter was also dressed to the nines, a deep olive green blazer from Wil Valor a little different to the traditional black or grey – just what the team dreamt of!

And if you’re thinking we’re missing the star of the show, oh we haven’t forgotten him. Benny the Golden Retriever (also known as Eggs Benny) took his position as the very important wedding guest, donning a collar of fresh flowers and taking payment only in treats (and a few “good boys” thrown in for good measure).

It all came together organically, says Madeleine, who shares “Ultimately I believe this shoot to be a testament to what your vendors can collaboratively achieve when they flex their creative muscles!”
