As we celebrate all things Aussie during The Australia Issue, the rugged and raw landscape of country Australia has become somewhat enchanting.
So when today’s editorial landed on our desks, with its beautiful tones of bronze, of gold, ochre, cream and crimson. Of dried florals and earthy details, of wild landscapes and stunning views, we knew it was just the curation we needed to include.

With Karen of The Seitter Woodhouse behind the camera (this talented lady also created a custom stationery suite with bronze calligraphy on handmade paper just for the shoot!), the team took to Chillagoe I Northern Queesnaldn to help their vision come to life.

Stylist Little Bohemian Dream collaborating with floral designer Nine Blooms  to create a look, that in Karen’s words “truly captured a unique bohemian style for the modern bride.” The textured Australian natives, the unusual, but beautiful inclusions like cotton buds, dried wheat and eucalyptus adding to the raw earthiness the shoot embodied.

And then there are our “brides”, models Henna KannistoNatasha Kay and Jasmine Farrow (who were accompanied by groom Ryan Ablett) dressing in beautiful boho styled gowns from  Spell and the Gypsy Collective and Sant Elia.

Their hair and makeup, styled by Inner Goddess Hair & Makeup By Carly B of course, complementing the vibe with curls, textured braids, metallic tones and glittering gold leaf.

And once the “nuptials” were said, to a stupendous Australian vista, our crew dined under the setting sun-filled sky, a wooden tabletop set with bronze, black and gold details, and a feathered adorned cake by  Passion for Cakes.

We celebrate so many weddings here at Polka Dot Bride, and when it comes to Australia, an editorial like this, which really makes the most of what we have to offer? That’s the best kind of inspiration!
