If you’re looking for local-inspirations for your Australiana-style wedding, you can’t go past Bad Frankie for cocktails – they’re one of the few venues who only use all-Australian spirits behind the bar! Of course, we couldn’t resist asking them to share the recipe to their ‘Ken Oath Cooler’ with you for ‘The Australia Issue‘. This cocktail is a purely Australian twist on tiki drinks – if you love tropical flavours, definitely try this one next time you find yourself exploring Fitzroy in Melbourne.

Not only is the drink bursting with local rum (or rum-like spirits), but it is designed to be served in the most eye-catching native fauna mugs. They’re sure to give your guests a giggle and look amazing in photos! On top of all that, the drink’s name is taken from Aussie slang…but we’ll let you Google “Ken Oath” if you don’t already know what that means.

You can book Bad Frankie for up to 50 people for an event (we’re thinking their gourmet jaffles would make memorable and crowd-pleasing fare for a chilled out engagement party). They also offer private cocktail making masterclasses at the bar and can even arrange classes tailored to your tastes at your home. Such a popular idea for bridal showers or buck’s party celebrations.
