Focusing on the moments that make up the wedding day is Matt of Stone & Wool Photography’s approach to the wedding day. He’s a rather relaxed and enthusiastic sort of person (helping you to relax too) who so obviously loves his work, and produces images that are stories in themselves. There is an easy quality about his work where raw emotions and the genuine connections between people are important – and looking at his images you find yourself imagining what was happening in that moment. He gives his all to your day from start to finish to ensure that nothing is missed – and as he loves love stories you know he’s a big softy at heart.

We asked Matthew from Stone & Wool Photography five questions in five minutes:

What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?
Don’t panic and overthink the things that won’t change the outcome when planning your day. Instead, take your time picking the things that will. Surround yourself with vendors that make you feel warm and comfortable.

Tell us about a hidden talent you have?
If I tell you it won’t be hidden anymore! you’ll have to hire me if you want to find out!

As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?
As a Photographer this is easy. It’s the unguarded moments after the ceremony and other formalities when it’s just the three of us doing our thing. It’s when we just get to hang loose and let the enormity of what just happened sink in.

What are you known for?
Grabbing those moments throughout the day the couple never even knew where happening. That and first looks between father and daughter. Id love to claim I have a knack for making grown men cry but in reality what father wouldn’t cry seeing his little girl all dolled up for the greatest day of her life.

If you could choose a song to play for the rest of your life what would it be?
Now you’ve got me! It would be a toss-up between Eric Clapton’s Beautiful Tonight because it was my first dance song with my beautiful wife or Boy & Bear’s version of Fall at your feet by Crowded house. It gives me the bumps every time!
