What could be more appropriate for a month filled with vibrant colour than an editorial inspired by a love of South American culture? Add in a touch of boho, and today’s saturated + bold boho wedding inspiration is a feast for the eyes!

Our team, photographer Anna of  Anna Pretorius Photography sharing “This Bold Boho Outdoor wedding drew its inspiration from the confidence of Frieda Kahlo and the eye-popping extravagance of our love for a traditional Mexican wedding fiesta. Throw in a pink church, a knockout gown, wild cactus, an explosion of flowers, ice pop margaritas and a donkey, and you’ve got yourself a party for all the senses!!”

And a party for all the sences it was, the pale pink background of Earthwise, our bride and groom (we spot you wedding photographer turned model Stefanie Buma and husband Zach!) playing the newlyweds as our team styled up a storm.

Stefanie donned a beautiful Prea James gown with dramatic bell sleeves from Through The White Door. The Nest Hair Boutique adding a chic up-do for her, to hold a bright array of blooms styled by A Little Bohemia. Her look finished with dramatic smokey eyes and bright lips thanks to makeup artist Kristy Ellis.

Meanwhile, Zach was dressed in a chic, and beautiful all-white look thanks to Jack London. His finishing touch a dapper Will and Bear hat for classic South American inspired style.

And then there was the reception inspiration itself, stylist (and floral designer!) A Little Bohemia dreaming up a brightly colour tablescape, topping it with beautiful dark teal linens, filling the space with brightly coloured floral arrangements in hues of reds, pinks and orange, with brass vessels, coloured glassware and patterned crockery. Traditional Mexican pieces from Plata Bonita sitting pretty alongside pieces from Pretty Willow Hire, and Table Culture.

And because this is all about the colours, the brightness of the summer heat, our bride and groom finished their celebrations with the most gorgeously coloured icypoles from the Delish Ice in so very appropriate summer hues.

The beautiful editorial, captured alongside Anna, by Stache and Co Photography and cinematographers Calyco Productions (scroll on for their take on the day!) celebrates everything we love about summer, about the South American culture, and of course, about love stories!
