For The Bridesmaid Issue, I wanted to create cocktails that were just the ticket for an afternoon gathering with your favourite people. Where pink is embraced, where bubbles are flowing and the bride, and the bridesmaids (and bridesmen!) are all about the celebration.
This cocktail is all about the combination of roses and lemons, using the bitter tart flavour of Sacred Spirits Rosehip Cup, combined with a soft and pink rose lemonade (we love Fentimens Rose Lemonade found at Dan Murphys) with a little citrus blast to create something rather festive. It’s sweet, pink and beautifully floral. I’m thinking this served up en masse at a bridal shower or kitchen tea will definitely go down a treat!
Ingredients
- 20ml Sacred Spirits Rosehip Cup
- 15ml gin
- Rose Lemonade
- A squeeze of lemon juice
- Ice
- Lemon slices
- Lemon thyme
Method
- In a cocktail shaker, shake together Sacred Spirits Rosehip Cup, gin and add a squeeze of lemon juice
- Pour into a lowball glass over plenty of ice
- Top with rose lemonade
- Stir
- Add lemon slices and fresh lemon thyme for garnish
