Weddings are going to change over the next few years, and no doubt eloping? It’s definitely going to be a favourite option for many. So why not do it in utter style?

Today’s editorial is all about that relaxed boho, nomadic style, all atop a stunning mountaintop setting.

Led by photographer Anne of White Shutter Photography and stylist Kate of One Day In March today’s dream team drew their inspiration from the beautiful colour palette of their chosen venue –  Feathertop Winery.

Kate, who also arranged the blooms for the shoot, drew her inspiration from the rich browns of the woods, the sunlight tones of poppy reds, ambers and terracotta – and it was this that drew her to create a look that was warm, almost autumnal and so very boho. The look complementing with softer, romantic touches like hand-dyed silk ribbon tied around the bright bouquet, burnt orange cloth napkins and billowing linen table cloths.

A ceremony backdrop of dried leaves and fresh bright blooms playing host to the official ceremony, before a picnic with an amazing array of cheeses, fruits and a glass of rosé welcome the newlyweds in celebration.

A tablescape set for dinner, with amber glassware, terracotta crockery pieces, and bud vases from Tribe Store sat amongst, single blooms, tiles and floral garlands. The setting ready for a beautiful dinner of merriment, just for two.

A little nod to the whimsy of the cosmo also made itself known through paper pieces designed by Willo Creative and Words of the Moonchild. Kate sharing “At the time I was planning the design I was really inspired by travel (and the cosmos) and upon speaking with Anne she was keen for a nomadic inspired elopement. The cosmos references were conveyed through florals, the stationery design and the mini tiles on the food board with words by Words of the Moonchild.”

And the cake, oh the cake is such a sight! A beautiful tiered masterpiece designed by Little Red Robyn Cake Designs. The cake, adorned with dried florals and handpainted flowers, uses blooms to create personal messages for the newlyweds.

And our bride? Dressed in a custom made jumpsuit by Maxcelle at Mill Street topped with a stunning hat that actually stole the show. This was an editorial that was as much about beauty after all, as it was about comfort, about relaxed ease.
