Carmela & Jeff
A Friday is for donning your finest, and for celebrating, so we couldn’t help but choose today, as the very best time to bring you the black-tie wedding of Carmela & Jeff.
Captured by the ever-talented Simone Addison Photography, the pair dreamt of a day that was “simple, yet elegant”. And that it was. From a traditional church ceremony to a reception that overlooked the beautiful city of Perth, to floral details of classic white roses, and a gown that is what fairytale dreams at made of. This was a day, that beautifully honoured tradition, and Carmela and Jeff.
These two newlyweds first met through mutual friends, tells the bride “We met through friends that we went to school with. One night we were all at our friend’s house and we met and got along straight away.”
And then, a romantic holiday to Bali, for Carmela’s birthday, led to the big question! “Jeff told me he was taking me to Bali for a holiday for my birthday. One night he took me for dinner to a beautiful restaurant right on the beach and he proposed right there!”
The bride discovered her dream gown at Bridal By Aubrey Rose. She tells “I chose a long sleeve lace dress with a low back. I had always wanted that style of dress.”
Carmela and Jeff worked with Van2Bloom on classic floral styling of white roses. The bride noting “I chose white roses and greenery. I wanted to keep everything very simple but elegant.”
Carmela & Jeff chose The Chapel of St Michael the Archangel for their ceremony, the bride sharing “My husband and I loved the church we chose as it had a great feeling inside. The gardens on the premises are beautiful for photos.”
The bride walked down the aisle on the arm of her father to the serenade of a traditional church organ being played.
“It was beautiful and intimate,” tells Carmela of the couple’s traditional ceremony.
“Simone was amazing!” raves Carmela of the couple’s chosen photographer. “She made the day run so smooth and made sure we all had fun while taking our photos.”
Guests gathered for a glam reception on the rooftop of Aloft Perth. Carmela and Jeff choosing the venue, in part for its onsite accommodation. “We both loved the Aloft Hotel as it has beautiful views of the Swan River. We wanted all of our guests to be able to stay for the full weekend to celebrate with us.”
The newlyweds took their first steps on the dance floor to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Tenerife Sea’. “We both love the song!” notes Carmela.
There was a lot of dancing, a lot of music at Carmela & Jeff’s reception, including a live performance from Little Miss Squeezebox. The bride explaining “My Nonno who is no longer with us use to play traditional Italian music on a squeezebox so I organised Little Miss Squeezebox to play a traditional Italian tarantula for us all to dance to!”
A big congratulations to you Carmela & Jeff! How lucky we feel to be able to share your story! Thank you also to Simone Addison Photography for sharing today’s beautiful images,
