If you’re looking to pamper your bridesmaids before the big day, why not get together and make some delicious homemade honey lip scrub? It takes only minutes to put together and will ensure you all look your best when getting dolled up for the wedding. Gorgeous lips guaranteed under that beautiful shade of lipstick you’ve chosen!

What You Will Need:

  • 1 part honey
  • 2 parts sugar (you can use any type, raw or brown are good options)
  • 1 part oil (almond works well, but you could try coconut, be aware it will solidify in cooler weather)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Little jars (if giving as gifts)

What To Do:

Step One. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until combined. If it is cooler weather, the honey or oil may be a little solid. Zap your mixture in the microwave at 8 second intervals to make it easier to combine.

Step Two. This scrub is best used fresh. Apply to lips and work gently in a circular motion. Rinse off with warm water and follow with a soothing balm or moisturiser. You can do this nightly in the lead up to the wedding, simply keep the mixture in the fridge.

Step Three. If you’d like to keep the leftovers to use later on, or if you’d like to give this lip scrub as a gift, use a little piece of baking paper to funnel the mixture into your chosen jars. Be aware that the mixture may become more solid over time. Simply run under warm water until it softens before applying the mixture and say hello to soft lips!

If using coconut oil, and storing some mixture for later, keep the scrub in a wide topped jar to make it easier to access.

Ms Zigzag says: You need silky soft lips for that first kiss after you say ‘I do!’ What a sweet little gift to give to your bridesmaids, or better yet, make it together.
