We have been all about the Moscow Mule this year. It may be the lime and minty goodness, it may be the copper cup – who can tell! But in our month of mules earlier this year, our lovely submissions manager Ms Rose (also known as Mary!) also devised this festive season cocktail. We switched out the mint for rosemary for something a little different and when combining the herb notes with the sweetness of strawberries with it, we fell in love.

Ingredients:

  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 10ml grenadine
  • 2 fresh lime wedges
  • 50ml vodka
  • Ice
  • Ginger beer
  • Rosemary
  • Two fresh strawberries per person

Method:

In a copper mug, add plenty of ice (I love 4-5 ice cubes in this cocktail for extra cold deliciousness!) In a cocktail shaker, add your limes, strawberries, lime juice, half a sprig of rosemary and vodka and muddle together.

Add the contents of your cocktail shaker to the copper mug and top with ginger beer.

Garnish with fresh rosemary.
