Established in 2015, Gathered Floral was born from my love of creating wedding floral arrangements. My design aesthetic is soft, romantic and vintage inspired. I love working with colour and texture and base my work on old garden inspired designs where the elements are effortlessly Gathered together.
My key focus is on seasonality and sustainability, and I am proudly known for my discretion, kindness and warmth, working closely with each of my clients.
I always try to use seasonal flowers and greenery sourced from local growers. When I need to source from larger international growers, I have confidence that the flowers come from fair-trade farms and meet with our own environmental standards. My relationships with my trusted suppliers are long standing.
I avoid using floral foam wherever possible. On the rare occasion that it is used, I use the enhanced biodegradable foam. My green waste is composted and our once loved event flowers if not taken home by guests, are distributed to local nursing homes.
I’m authentic, compassionate, empathetic and focussed. I passionately love creating wedding florals and carefully consider the placement of every bloom. Each colour, hue and tone is purposeful and conveys my heartfelt emotion.
I hold a Certificate III in Floristry and also have undergrad and postgrad degrees in Business. I keep up to date with wedding trends and have completed courses and mentoring with Ponderosa and Thyme (Utah, USA), Trille Floral (Sydney) and Phillipa Craddock (London).
