A reader recently emailed me asking for my take on a peacock inspired wedding, I have to say I found this board a challenge and I’m still not sure I’m happy with it! I really wanted to focus on the beautiful rich blues and jade greens.
Wedding gown by Pronovias via Brides, Peacock Parade invitation by Alannah Rose Stationery, tie from toybreaker, bag from Brides, headpiece from portobello, Rosettes via {frolic}, chairs from Brides, shoe by Manolo Blahnik from Neimen Marcus, from dress from Nicholangela, background picture from Animal Picture Gallery

I have a bride considering a peacock-inspired theme as well, and you’re right, it’s tough to nail down. But yours is the best I’ve seen. Love that image of the bridal gown. Nice job!

I agree…you wouldn’t normally think of a white gown when thinking “peacock” theme…but you nailed it PDB. A great board.

It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for taking my request. I love what you did with it. I love the gown you picked for the bride and the plays on the rich blues and jade greens.

That dress, amazing. And is more peahenesque being only one colour

Great minds think alike! I also used the peacock as inspiration for a board I did on polyvore recently. Great job–it looks beautiful!

That dress is DIVINE!!!! Great job on the board, too – I love peacocks, you know that Chitown Bride actually had real live white peacocks at her wedding, and they started skwaking during her ceremony? Too funny…you can read about it here:

It was pretty awesome, you can see the pics of it too! Anyhow, hope all is well…just got back from vacation so I’m catching up
Happy holidays!
