Real Simple Weddings Magazine

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Real Simple Weddings 2009 Magazine last month. I heard nothing but raves about the 2008 copy (though I resisted buying it when it finally showed up in Borders!)

page1 Real Simple Weddings Magazine

The magazine is set out clearly and with limited advertising (It’s sponsored by Crate & Barrel so the advertising that appears is soley for them). Divided into three sections “Your Plan”, “Your Ceremony” and “Your Reception” each section has numbered questions and tips with simple, straight to the point advice to help you plan your wedding.

There are real weddings dotted throughout the magazine (I love Romance By The Book a book themed wedding) and beautiful images of bouquets, dresses, invitations and cakes to whet your appetite.

The magazine covers typical questions you might ask your vendors, a time line, registry suggestions, tips on attire, seasonal colour palettes, seasonal flower girl (only relevant to the Northern Hemisphere) and even how to set the scene.

With the elegant Real Simple layout we have come to know and love, the Real Simple Weddings 2009 is a great magazine to pick up if you or your friends are newly engaged.

Real Simple Weddings is available at Crate and Barrel (and probably eventually in Australia at Borders like the premiere issue!)

I love the dress on the third page shown! Might just be the push I need to get that magazine!

I borrowed my color scheme, dress inspiration, invitation ideas, and favors all from this book!
I’m glad I own it, however most of the pages are downloadable from their website (under the Celebrations/Weddings section).
