Leisa and Brett
After a long weekend here in Australia, we clearly need a beautiful way to kick off the week and Leisa has provided the most gorgeous option! Taking place in the Pine Forest in Centennial Park, Sydney. The shoot is like a wonderful fairyland dream, filled with cupcakes, bicycles, pink skirts and endless sunshine!
Leisa says “We met in 2006 at a local grassroots soccer game and have been virtually inseparable ever since. Together since we were both just 18 years old, we’ve been very lucky in love and in life and have been able to afford ourselves the opportunity to travel the world together, one of our common passions. Brett proposed spontaneously on top of a gorgeous mountain in the country town of Arashiyama in Japan to my complete surprise in April last year.
Currently we’re planning an intimate wedding in Sydney to take place on November 27 this year and this engagement shoot was to include on our save the date stationary. The bicycle featured in the shoot was a gift from Brett for my 21st birthday.”
Leisa wore an outfit from Minty Meets Munt with shoes from Wittner, Brett wore a suit from Roger David with embellishments from Etsy and the cupcakes were from Cupcakes On Pitt.

Leisa describes this little felt creature as “A horrible attempt at handy crafts that has essentially transformed into a “third wheel” in our relationship. He’s traveled with us to seven countries all over the world!”

You know, this is a good example of why I prefer engagement shoots to wedding photography. There’s just something so relaxed about these guys – in the park, looking nice but not too nice, beautiful light and not RUSHED. I especially love the photos fifth and sixth from the bottom.

This is a dreamy set of montage. The cupcakes are really great to look at. The short hair of the bride also looks good.
