This gorgeous inspiration shoot, entitled “Garden Bohemian” is such a welcome to Spring and gives such easy going, beautiful inspiration that I couldn’t wait to share it. The loose, free flowing style of the photographs is so inspiring for Spring brides (and as usual, I’m particularly drawn to the beautiful flower hairpieces).
Shot by Karen Buckle Photography with flowers & styling by Green & Bloom hair & makeup by Fabulous Everything Hair and Makeup and gowns from Grace Loves Lace the shoot is all about inspiring modern brides with relaxed, bohemian romance.
Roberta, of Green & Bloom, tells of the inspiration behind the “Garden Bohemian” inspiration shoot. “There is an increasing trend for weddings to be free spirited in their approach to the day’s styling, incorporating floral headpieces, organic feel bouquets, free flowing modern dresses, and ethereal braids for the hair and simple makeup. Karen Buckle was the photographer for the shoot and her photography style perfectly matched the free spirit theme, capturing the beauty of each element in a naturally beautiful and thoroughly modern way. The ‘Garden Bohemian’ themed shoot features 3 different ‘looks’, to inspire the modern bride with romantic relaxed ways of styling herself for her wedding day. The setting for the shoot was the lush surrounds of Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane City, Australia, creating a gorgeous backdrop of blooming cherry blossom and cactus.”
Of the floral design for the shoot, Roberta explains, ” Succulents and feathery looking flowers and foliage are in high demand for wedding florals, providing interesting textures and tones to complement more free style dresses. Succulents can also provide a lasting reminder of the wedding day as they are easily replanted from the bouquet after the wedding day”
The gowns for the shoot were by Brisbane designers Grace Loves Lace, whose bohemian, relaxed styling matched the style of the shoot wonderfully. The gowns were modeled barefoot and the lace, tiered skirts and free flowing vintage inspired designs were complimented by the beautiful floral styling.
“Fabulous Everything Hair and Makeup kept the makeup feminine using soft mauves and pinks and let the hairstyles do the talking, creating a waterfall braid, rib cage braid and a snaking piggytail braid. The hairstyles were adorned with fresh flowers and a gold, shimmering scarf to add to the bohemian feel.”
