Penny and Adam
When Penny and Adam decided on a romantic Mornington Peninsula wedding for their big day, they built the wedding around a relaxed reunion for their family and friends. Surrounded by the most beautiful of blooms, the vineyards and the incredible food, the duo said “I Do”. The day was captured beautifully by Kirralee Ashworth.
On how they met, Penny tells, “We met at a mutual friend’s wedding; the mutual friends live in the US and each of us was based in a different State at the time, so it really was a chance meeting.”
Penny and Adam chose Stillwater at Crittenden to host their special day, Penny explaining, “Stillwater at Crittenden was able to be used for both the ceremony and reception; this was particularly important to us as we didn’t wish to inconvenience our guests with more travel. The venue was visually beautiful but was also able to give a very high standard of food and service. Of many of the venues we looked at on the Peninsula, we were very happy that Stillwater was able to accommodate a slightly larger group of guests.”
Wedding stylist Weddings of Desire worked with florist Hello Blossoms to create the floral arrangements for the day. Penny remarking, “Hello Blossoms and Weddings of Desire were both fantastic. Many guests are still raving about the flowers. All the vendors (venue, florist, photographer, DJ and planning) worked together so cooperatively and were extremely helpful. We would recommend any of our vendors again.”
Penny walked down the aisle to an Alicia Keys tune.
The couple wrote their own vows in a ceremony performed by Bill Newton (03) 9729 0320.
Of their photographer, Penny tells, “Kirralee was wonderful to work with and everything you would want in a photographer; relaxed, helpful, reliable and so supportive. We were organizing our wedding from overseas, so it was especially helpful to work with someone who was flexible and helpful.”
Bespoke Letterpress created a letterpress stationery suite for Penny and Adam’s wedding.
Of their first dance, Penny remembers, “We were filled with nerves but happy that the day had gone as well so far; it was certainly good to get the dancing underway.” All music on the day was from Top Dog Entertainment.
Congratulations Penny and Adam! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Kirralee Ashworth. for sharing today’s celebration!
