The 2015 Peter Jackson Autumn/Winter Collection has drawn inspiration from the fashion capitals of London and Paris, famous for their elegance and resolute style statements.

Peter Jackson designer, Dave Jackson, took the time to tell us a little about their new Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection.

What was your inspiration, besides London and Paris, for the designs you created for this collection?

A lot of the brand directions come from Europe, particularly London, but more and more quirky, individual looks from New York were also a source of inspiration and have a presence in our Autumn/Winter collection.

How and why did you select the materials you used?

We have longstanding relationships with the world’s best mills and garment makers, Marzotto, Reda and Zignone, to name a few.

We then take our design inspiration from around the world, including interpreted colour trends from fashion fairs, to produce truly unique and aspirational designs.

We deal exclusively with European textile producers to ensure our clientele has access to the world’s best garments.

What is your favourite look for the 2015 collection?

My favourite looks this season are;

  1. Windowpane checks
  2. Three piece suits and waistcoats
  3. Royal blue through to indigo and navy

What suit and accessories would you recommend a groom wear from this collection?

I’d recommend our royal navy blue jacquard dinner suit and duel collared tuxedo shirt. Must have accessories for every groom are satin ties with cufflinks that complement a colour theme, tie bars and colourful socks to add a bit of fun.

What style advice would you give a groom to be?

Adopt a ‘classic with a twist’ mindset. You want your children to look back on your wedding photos and say ‘Dad was a really cool guy ‘ or ‘look at how good Dad looked’….

Whilst we all know that it’s the bride’s ‘Big Day’, it’s still very important for the groom to retain some individuality – even if it’s only colourful socks, or a signature, bright pocket square!

Ms Chinoiserie says: The current blue palette – from indigo to deep, dark navy – is a great choice; team your groom’s suit with a contrasting checked shirt and a bright tie for a very suave and on trend  look.
