The magic of nature was not lost on designer Claire Pettibone as she launched her brand new “The Four Seasons” bridal collection at New York bridal market. Today, we’re sharing the jewel toned rich beauty of fall (my favourite season of all).
Each season, designed by Claire, pays homage to its beauty. Summer is fill of cotton embroideries, breezy tulles and linens with beautiful feminine details and a certain bohemian styling. Spring is, of course, all about new blooms – evident on each gown through floral embroideries, laces and appliques. Autumn, is richly full of metallics, texture and details into decadent details and Winter is quieter, more peaceful and reflective of the quiet now. Claire noting “I was able to immerse myself in the beauty of nature, and delve into the variety of colour, texture, and motifs that have been painted by artists, sung and inscribed, and even worshipped, over the history of mankind.”
Claire then worked with a team to create a different shoot for reach season – Australian Dan O’Day chose to capture the deep moody beauty of “Fall”, guests enchanted as they entered Claire’s October showcase to be greeted by “Solstice” cocktails prepared by Alchemiq Catering of muddled blackberries, sage, ginger and a dash of lavender. They then took a journey through the seasons with each scene revealing a new season and more beauty to behold.
Claire adds “I present this collection as an inspirational starting point, and leave it to the creativity and individual personalities of my brides to make these dresses their own.”
