Tash & Adam
Tash and Adam’s glam festival wedding was held just 5 minutes from beautiful Byron Bay, showcasing the stunning surrounds, all lovingly decorated with festoon lights. The perfect weather, homemade brownies and a focus on fun has us wishing we were there! Mitchell J Carlin was on hand to capture every moment.
Tash and Adam met at high school, however their relationship only became a reality after they had been friends for quite some time. ”We went to the same school but didn’t really know each other as we were in different grades.” After five years of friendship they began dating, and became retrospective high school sweethearts!
The bride fell in love with the low back and close fit of her Made with Love gown, and says, ”I chose the ‘Danni’ dress because it wasn’t over the top and it suited the theme of wedding we envisaged.” And having decided upon a relaxed day, the groom was keen to avoid anything too formal, with Tash sharing, ”He felt most comfortable in nice pants, a loose fitting shirt and comfortable shoes with the added detail of the suspenders.” Adam wore an MJ Bale suit and Universal shoes.
Tash was thrilled with her wedding flowers, and shares that Flossim understood her dream blooms entirely. ”I was over the moon with the bouquets and the flower crowns, they were absolutely perfect and nailed the brief exactly. I couldn’t have dreamt them up better myself!” The couple wanted to include their two dogs during the wedding too, saying, ”It wouldn’t have felt the same without them.”
Wanting a festival-like celebration of love, Tash and Adam fell in love with Ewingsdale Hall and share, ”We chose the venue as we loved the relaxed feel and beautiful surroundings. Ewingsdale Hall was a blank canvas and we wanted to use the tipi with lots of rugs and low banquet tables to fill the space. We loved the festoons that really added to the festival feel.” Tash fell in love with the work done by wedding stylist Rachel Torti and remembers, ”I was really happy with the styling from Rachel, everything was perfect! I was so happy how it all turned out.”
Wanting a relaxed ceremony, the bride and groom incorporated some personal touches, with Tash sharing, ”We didn’t want anything too serious, and Adam had the idea of the hand fasting ritual. I didn’t know much about it, but after some research I really liked what it represented.” The bride walked down the aisle to The Beautiful Girls by La Mar.
Both being a little nervous in front of the camera, Tash and Adam were thrilled with how their wedding photographs turned out from Mitchell J Carlin, with Tash telling, ”Mitch was fantastic! When we met with him we felt instantly comfortable and on the day he made us feel really at ease. I think the best thing about a photographer is when you don’t notice that they are there, which is exactly how we felt on the day.”
Choosing Ewingsdale Hall as their venue allowed the bride and groom to get creative and personal with the details of their wedding day. Having handpicked most of their wines from the Barossa Valley, they also made antipasto plates and brownies for the dessert table. Tash recalls, ”My father in law made all the timber boards that the antipasto was served on and they were truly amazing. The timber that the cakes were served on was found, cut, oiled and sealed by ourselves.”
Tash’s glam festival wedding featured some tasty treats too! The bride shares, ”We always had our heart set on a food van wedding so this worked well with the venue.” The Canavan was a huge hit with Tasha remembering, ”The whole time leading up to the wedding they were so easy to deal with, they were such a pleasure. On the day itself they were so thoughtful and provided amazing service. Plus the Cake Kiosk had great customer service, nothing was too difficult!”
Congratulations to our lovely bride and groom, Tash and Adam! Thank you for sharing your wedding with us! And thank you also to Mitchell J Carlin for allowing us a glimpse of this beautiful day.
