In another instalment of our “make your hot chocolate sing!” posts, let us introduce you to this Boozy Rum Hot Chocolate. This concoction is perfect for serving after dark and adding to your Winter wedding cocktail list. The sweet warmth of the golden rum adds a smoothness to this hot chocolate that gives it a little something special for your guests.
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- 60ml Golden Rum
- Whipped cream
- Shaved chocolate
In an ovenproof bowl over a saucepan of water, melt chocolate chips with milk and vanilla bean paste, whisking to remove lumps and create a smooth liquid consistency.
Once mixed, take the hot chocolate off the stove and whisk in golden rum.
Top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.
