Walking into Maison Moschino is like stepping into an fantastic dream. Fluffy clouds and light sheeps hanging from the ceiling, beautiful mannequins guarding the entrance adorned by stunning dresses, and then a friendly smile welcoming you home.

Part of Hotelphilosophy, a hotel management firm well known in the Italian luxury hotel industry for its cosmopolitan and eclectic style, Maison Moschino is situated in via Monte Grappa 12, Milan; there the first Milanese train station was built around 1840. Turned into a building and then abandoned for the last few decades, it seemed an incredibly tempting idea to transform the premises into a contemporary and luxurious hotel. The renovation started in 2007, and from day one it became quite clear the hotel needed an edge, something to stand out in the already overly crowded luxury hotel world.

Moschino was the perfect partner choice: the Milanese, ironic and iconic brand. Rossella Jardini in cooperation with Jo Ann Tan supervised the project that started with a very simple idea: in a hotel, primarily you go to sleep and the best part of sleeping, is dreaming. So what if you start dreaming from the time you step into your room? What if you wake up but you are still in your dream?

There are 65 rooms in Maison Moschino, divided in 16 dreams (or concepts) and each and every one of them will make you feel like you have entered a different world. Alice’s Room, Zzzzzzzzzzz, Life is a Bed of Roses, Luxurious Attic, The Forest, Sleeping in a Ballgown, Little Red Riding Hood, Sweet Room, Ivy, Wallpaper, Clouds, Gold Blu, Half a Room, The Ribbon, The Shadow.

From the special quilt completely covered in red petals, handcrafted with 46 meters of fabric to the hundreds of bows carefully attached to a bed cover, fixed by someone every morning, Maison Moschino takes the attention to details to the next level.

There are 6 types of rooms: Classic, Deluxe, Deluxe Gallery, Prestige, Prestige Gallery and Junior Suite and the two Gallery rooms also have a private balcony area, with either a desk or a chaise lounge to relax. There is plenty of natural light, design pieces but the service is what really gives this 4 star hotel something more. From the time you step in, you feel you’re home… which after all, is what “maison” is all about.

So what makes Maison Moschino unique from every other luxury hotel? Well, it’s all about Italy: hospitality, design, materials and products. And of course, cusine. Michelin-Starred Chef, Moreno Cedroni opened a metropolitan version of his famous Clandestino here. The menu has its roots in the Italian tradition, but with a twist like wild susci inspired by Japanese sushi but instead of wasabi or seaweeds, you will find extra virgin olive oil, Italian herbs, cheese and carnaroli rice.

My favourite? MosKit: where else could breakfast be served than in a very fashionable shoe box? A selection of savory and sweet creations, changing depending on season and presented to you with freshly baked bread, tea and coffee. Design meets fashion, fashion meets haute cusine.

And last but not least, the amazing Art Spa. The SPA features a Turkish bath, hydro massage and Jacuzzi, a gym by Technogym, relaxation area with herbal teas and a massages suite. A team of experienced therapists, along with highly beneficial products will take you onto a beauty journey that you won’t forget.

What else do you need to be convinced? Whether you are planning a romantic escape in Europe, a honeymoon in Italy or even just a weekend getaway, Maison Moschino is set to create an unforgettable experience, to make your dreams come true. Literally!
