Francia and Alex’s Beautiful Sydney Proposal

by | Bride, Engagements

Francia & Alex

it is no secret I get goosebumps when I see proposals, always have, always will, I think. So with this week of love upon us, what better to share than a beautiful proposal captured on film? I love how Alex proposed to his beloved Francia, heartfelt, romantic and very causing of goosebumps!

Alex starts the story. “The plan was to propose on Saturday the 24th of November; I thought about the proposal for some time, thinking about what she likes and how she would like to be proposed to. The support of our friends and family means a lot to us so I wanted them to be there for this once in a lifetime moment and devised a plan where they could be involved. On that Saturday morning I picked Francia up from home and we headed city bound to the Park Hyatt Hotel in Sydney for some breakfast; afterwards I suggested that we go for a walk out to the opera house as the weather was nice, this is where the plan kicked in. “

“Our friends and family were waiting near the opera house; I had arranged for Daniel (a close friend of ours) to meet us along the way and sing ‘Bruno Mars – Count on Me’ as we walked and arranged for Felix Alim to capture the moments.”

“It took me a while to figure out how I could get family and friends involved but after some brainstorming I decided to have them spread along the path and created some cards that she would receive from each of them as we walked along; with these cards I wanted to remind her of the reasons that I love her so I decided to title them ’10 things I love about you’ (as Francia loves movies).”

“As we walked our friends and family handed the cards to her one at a time and joined us on our walk.”

“Once all the cards were given to her our friends dropped back and Francia and I walked a little further and this is when I popped the question!”

“After some celebratory photos and couple photos with Felix Alim we headed back home where we (myself and a couple of friends) had prepared a small celebration in the early hours of that morning; more family and friends joined us at this time also.”
