Good morning Dotties! It’s the long weekend for most of Australia, but we’re still going to posting all day long- even if we’re a little quiet in the office! What better day to indulge in wedding inspiration than a day off we say!
As we kick off our week, we’ll shine the spotlight on one of the fabulous members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory. I’m always fascinated by the creative wedding professionals out there who understand what Polka Dot Bride is all about- from the creative Bridal Gown Designers to fun Photobooth Hire, to talented Hair & Beauty, delicious Cakes and even fabulous Venues!
So take a moment to check it out!

I love a wedding with good music – there is nothing like a dance your heart out moment with your favourite people! So if you love good music, then our vendor of the week Ivory Junction might be right up your alley! Ivory Junction has a philosophy – bringing good music back to the art of choosing the best songs and performing them properly!
From 3 – 8 piece bands for your reception, to ceremony vocalists and even DJs, the Ivory Junction bevvy of talent means all musical aspects of your wedding can be covered with the one booking.
We asked Gareth from Ivory Junction five questions in five minutes –
Favourite after five drink?
On a hot day, a James Squire Golden Ale is hard to top, and in colder times, an estate Shiraz from Crittendon Estate on the peninsula.
Favourite weekend getaway?
The east coast of Italy whilst I’m dreaming, Lakes Entrance, Victoria in reality!
At the moment would have to say ‘Hell of the North’ Greeves St Fitzroy (Melbourne) , it’s a new one, give it a try!!
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Either a Spanish Inquisition from Station Street Cafe in Nunawading (a funky new haunt for eastern suburbians), or a supercharged BLAT from the renowned Atomica cafe on Brunswick st Fitzroy.
Your favourite wedding story?
Hmmm, so many to choose from, a funny one though was a wedding that Ivory Junction played at last year where we had spoken with the Groom during planning, and it wasn’t until the day when we realised the Bride’s whole entire family were close friends with all of us from the band and we all went to school together. Neither had realised beforehand, made for an extra special connection that night!
