Bryony & Angus
Pepper Image Photo & Video sent through this gorgeous farm engagement shoot captured at Linton Gardens in Somersby. It feels like such a gorgeous way to spend a Saturday. Roaming around the beautiful, serene gardens feeling like it’s just the two of your alone in the world.
Bryony tells their story. “Angus and myself both played squash at our local squash courts, I had heard of Angus because he was one of the best players at the courts but never really talked to him. My best friend and I started playing adult comp and that is when we saw Angus. We became really good friends, and would hang out along with my best friend and just have fun. We were good friends for about a year and in that time he had said to me he liked me but I just wasn’t interested in that way so kept it friends only. It wasn’t until I saw Angus hanging out with another girl that I felt very jealous and wanted him. I told Angus I wanted to give it a go at being in a relationship with him and we went from there. So we started dating in 2008. Best years of our lives.”
“We then moved in with him and we eventually moved out together, we rented a little duplex. We had settled in and we were due for a cruise not long after we moved in, but a couple of days before we left the dishwasher had absolutely flooded out the the whole house. Angus woke up for work and was knee deep on water. So we went out our cruise and came back to a house half finished. Once it was repaired and everything was normal we decided we would get a dog because the landlord had said we could, once we got the dog we fell in love. We were told by the landlord he no longer wanted the dog there and had to get rid of it. We couldn’t do this so decided to buy our own house. We stayed with Angus’ mum and dad for a few months to save for our deposit. In this time I found out I was pregnant with our little boy Levi George. We finally bought our house, set up home and not long after had our first baby boy.”
“Life since then has just been amazing, no one can explain the love I have for my family. Angus has since extended the house himself, from a 2 bedroom into a 3 bedroom and completely renovated the kitchen. I’m so proud of him for what he has achieved. Angus always tells me he doesn’t know where he would be without me, how he never had imagined life to be this amazing if I hadn’t come into it. I feel the same way, we are made for one another. He is so laid back and patient, I’m so impatient and stress over little things. We bring out the best in each other. He loves his sci-fi, I hate it and tease him all the time about silly cartoons and Batman (he’s obsessed) I love this so of him though because it is who he is. He is perfect. We have accomplished so much together and couldn’t be more happy. He makes me a better person and I make him enjoy life I’m a way he said no one could ever do. Our son is the light of our lives and everything we do, we do it together.”
“Angus proposed to me one evening we were at home, he told me to go to the shops for dinner and bring some chicken back. I come home, walked through the door and there were candles on the floor, with little notes saying ‘come this way’, and ‘I love you’. The candles led to the bedroom, on the bed was a box and I think what the ……? I call his name and (he was) no where to be seen, all of a sudden Jason Marx starts playing and Angus walks in dressed in his suit with Levi in his arms. He gets on both knees and says will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me, I’m in shock and shout ‘yes’ and our little boy Levi starts clapping, we just hug for ages and danced and didn’t even eat dinner that I had gone out to get. He laughs at when we look back because he felt like he got down on both knees and was like begging me to marry him.”
