The type of music you choose for your wedding is one of the best ways to inject your big day with you and your partner’s personality. A perfectly selected song can convey your feelings better than a thousand words ever could, for example, we know one bride and groom who had the ‘The Imperial March’ from Star Wars playing when their parents walked in!!

For some, the wedding music selection is easy, maybe they already have a special song, or have been dreaming of what they want for years. For others it can be a really hard choice!! So, we thought you might like to hear what some of our clients have been asking us to play?!

Firstly…….the awards for our top most requested bridal dance songs go to:

In no particular order….

  1. Let’s Stay Together Al Green
  2. L.O.V.E Nat King Cole
  3. At Last Etta James
  4. If I Ain’t Got You Alicia Keys

And now…. a random selection of choices from each category..

Bridal Dance

I’m Yours Jason Mraz

Stand by Me Ben E.King

Feelin Good Michael Buble

Processional

This Old Love Lior

I Knew I Loved You Savage Garden

What A Wonderful World Louis Armstrong

Fools Rush In Elvis (very cute!)

Signing

Songbird Eva Cassidy

The One I Love David Gray

You’re Beautiful James Blunt

Oh…..and if you are after super traditional…..and who doesn’t love a bit of tradition…check out the following:

Mendelssohn’s Wedding March

Wagner’s Bridal Chorus

Pachelbel’s Cannon in D

Wedding Day at Troldhaugen – Edvard Grieg

Procession of Nobles – Rimsky-Korsakov

Ave Maria – Bach

Air on the G string – Bach

Whatever your style, have fun picking the music for your wedding, it is amazing just how far it goes in creating and adding to the theme, mood and feel!!

Ms Gingham says: If I am one day blessed enough to make an entrance into my kid’s wedding I do hope that they play the Imperial March for me too!!!
