Lately, I’ve have been dreaming of rooftop wedding venues. A place where you can see the tallest buildings glittering with their lights as the sun sets, a place where it feels like you’re on top of the world. Which is of course, where you are once you’ve said your ‘I do’s’! So here’s a round up of some of my favourite rooftop wedding venues across Australia. Leave your favourites below!

Luminare

What a view Melbourne venue Luminare has! It’s positively a Christmas tree! The decor inside has a neutral, modern feel, a terrace and the floor to ceiling windows that overlook the city skyline. The venue can hold 400 guests for a cocktail function or 250 guests for a sit down meal.

Museum of Contemporary Art, Australia

A view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House is nothing to sneeze at and Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Australia has got to have one of the best views of Sydney Harbour for a wedding reception! Enjoy cocktails under the stars as you soak in the views and celebrate your marriage. The “Sculpture Terrace” on level five can hold 160 guests for a sit down function or 200 for a cocktail event.

Queensland Art Gallery (GOMA)

Art with a view? That’s what Queensland Art Gallery (GOMA) gives you with their roof terrace! It has a capacity for 200 (standing) or 160 (seated) and overlooks the Brisbane river and Brisbane city skyline.

Mon Bijou

If you’re after something super modern then Melbourne’s Mon Bijou. From it’s mirror ceiling to it’s sophisticated French flair the venue has a penthouse event space but also includes an outdoor space with retractable roof. It’s right in the heart of the CBD so city views are spectacular from every vantage point. The venue can hold 70 guests for a cocktail function.

Qt Hotel Calypso Terrace

Qt hotels are renowned for being hotels with a difference and the fifties vintage flair of Qt Hotel Gold Coast and their Calypso Terrace is certainly on point. Think wood decking, astro turf and plenty of bright designer furniture! The terrace can hold 200 guests for a cocktail function.

The rooftop garden at Majestic Roof Garden Hotel might work for rooftop loving Adelaide couples. Two function rooms, which combined can hold 100 guests for a cocktail function open out onto the roof garden which overlooks Adelaide’s East End.

The Aviary – The Nest

Perth rooftop wedding

Overlooking Perth CBD, The Aviary – The Nest  is unique. Yes, it’s a bar first and foremost but with a bit of imagination could become a carefully considered space for your wedding. It has a capacity for 350 or can be broken into smaller spaces.

The Wine Suitesmanly rooftop wedding venue

If you’re not so much after the city view as you are for a seaside, star gazing night of revelry than Manly’s Wine Suites might be the venue you’re looking for. The Terrace Suites, which suit an outdoor ceremony, can hold between 40-150 guests and the Wine Suites, which overlook the water can hold up to 150 guests.

I’ll be honest, there’s plenty more where that came from! What are your favourites? What did I miss?
