As a little girl, I would always be waiting for the day of the week where my father would pack me up and take me to ballet school. So as an adult, anything ballet related still enchants me and especially when it comes to bridal gowns. Lisa Gowing‘s latest collection, titled “Ballet Beautiful” draws it’s inspiration from the ballet world – the tutus, the tulle and the “romance of dance”.
With plenty of princess silhouettes, Lisa’s gowns in this collection are more focused on full, tulle skirts and clean shaped bodices with V necks and deep, low backs. The magic of ballet injected into each and every full silhouette.
For the bride that loves the ballet but is after something more slim line, Ballet Beautiful also includes Lisa’s signature slim-line lace sheath gowns with beautiful European lace over silk, silk faille with seed bead lace, corded lace and Chantilly lace. Lisa has even designed three tulle over-skirts that can be worn over the sheath gowns – giving its wearer the option for two different looks. Even though the gowns are ready to wear, each is individually made and hand finished with couture techniques under Lisa’s watchful eye.
Lisa Gowing gowns are available at the Lisa Gowing Flagship showroom in Edgecliff with ready to wear designs from each collection available to be purchased as they are, along with made to measure pieces.
