I have long poured over the beautiful pieces from UK designers Needle & Thread. Their beautifully thought out embellished garments combine sophisticated design with feminine detailing in a considered way.
Now they’re translating that signature look to bridal wear with a seventeen piece collection featuring everything from gowns to dresses to tops, skirts and even veils. The pieces every bit as modern as they are beautifully romantic. One gown gradually leads from ivory to blush in an ombre effect, a gown in blush or white features a silver mesh bodice, another features floral and lace motif artworks drawn onto Devore velvet fabric and overlaid with sheer fabric.
My favourite though are the separates. The collection features three different skirts and two tops, all beautifully styled. One top features ribbon embroidery with tonal beading, while the other is inspired by Victoria floral tablecloths and is a more simple, white on white motif style top. Each working back with the lush tulle skirts, available either simply plain or again, with floral, delicate embellishment.
The versatility means that whether you are planning a ballroom celebration, dancing the night away on the roof, eloping to Italy or saying your I do’s in the garden. If you’re a fan of modern femininity, there will be something for you.
