Happy Monday Dotties! It has been a busy week here at Polka Dot and I feel like I say that every week! Somehow April has turned into one of the craziest months of the year – so I’m planning a May of knitting, cups of tea and snuggling up inside!

Your favourite wedding story?

My beautiful couple who brought their wedding forward a year, so the Bride’s Nan could be there. Nan was given a short time left to enjoy life. They married on Nan and Pop’s 57th Wedding Anniversary in a beautiful garden setting. Nan was the ring bearer and the Groom went to her to collect the rings at the appropriate time – Nan sitting there with biggest smile on her face. Due to bringing it forward a year there was only coffee and wedding cake after the Ceremony, there was not enough money for a reception. A lovely quiet family dinner followed. It was special and the only time I have choked up while performing a Ceremony. Beautiful memories.
