Creating one of a kind wedding dresses is Caitlin’s passion. Her business Studio C Bridal is in NSW, where Caitlin handmakes all her dresses as well as corsetry and lingerie. For those of us who want to wear a gown handed down by our mother, she can also rejuvenate an heirloom to bring it up to date, or simply adjust it to fit. Having a custom designed gown that enhances your figure is the stuff of dreams – and Caitlin will make sure those dreams come true.
We asked Caitlin of Studio C Bridal five questions in five minutes:
What is your favourite after five drink?
Gin! Any which way. Personal favourites include Four Pillars or Tanqueray 10, with tonic and lime. Or in cocktails like Gin Fizz.
Your favourite weekend getaway?
I’m actually away with my husband at the moment and it is perfect!! Finally found a chance for a week off. We’re at the snow – staying in Jindabyne NSW and snowboarding at Perisher and Thredbo.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Pancakes win 90% of the time, but avo, egg and feta wraps are pretty great, especially with relish. And a picollo.
Your favourite wedding story?
I love watching the bride as her dress comes together. It can be easy to look at a style, or some fabric, and think it’ll be great. But it’s only as the fittings progress that you really see it come to life. From a first toile, usually in polyester satin, to fitting the shape, and slowly introducing the lace and finishing details, it’s always beautiful to see the bride react as it comes to life for her. It’s just as great when you get to see her friends reaction too, and hear them squeal in delight at how perfect it is!! It’s such a wonderful thing to be a part of.
