With an unexpected venue – a rum distillery – as the backdrop for today’s industrial dark romance wedding ideas shoot, it gives plenty of inspiration for choosing a venue that is of the unexpected.

Dream team Florido Weddings, cinematographers Motion Art, stylist Foreva Events, stationery designer Urban Weddings and floral designer Anatomy of Flowers with rental furniture from Hampton Event Hire, a custom made arch by Gobha Handcrafts with glam black and gold cake from Cakery Box and candles from Stylised, set the scene for a dramatic wedding celebration at rum distillery Beenleigh Artisian Distillery.

Model Jennarly Viera, with hair by Melanie Bird Hair Styling and makeup by Emile Stephens, wore a stunning black gown by When Freddie Met Lilly.

With the neutral tones of the distillery, the team created their shoot around a colour palette of dramatic black, gold, white and greenery. Amazing black balloons acted as focal points for the space, which was filled with modern black wire furniture and garlands of lush foliage dotted with gold geometric details.

Creative director and stylist Eva of Foreva Events explains “by sticking to gorgeous black wire furniture and a black frame for the arch we were able to highlight the gorgeous detailing of the venue and achieve an emotive dark romantic vibe. We also wanted to enhance the fact that the venue was a brewery by using the balloons to symbolise the kegs and add an element of fun to the style.”
