We are cheerleaders for every single kind of wedding here at Polka Dot Bride- Micro-weddings, large weddings, destination weddings, barefoot weddings, and intimate elopements… If walking down the aisle with 160 pairs of eyes of your nearest and dearest is not your idea of the perfect wedding day, then maybe an elopement is something to consider. We love how focused couples can be on the real meaning of marriage when they elope – each other and their love and commitment to each other, often exchanging vows in a glorious, natural setting (as seen above).
Are you feeling the urge to run away and make it official with your love? Here are six romantic places to elope in 2018!
The romance of an elopement always gets our hearts beating a little faster in these parts. Brooke & Paul flew Dan Cartwright and Playback Studios to capture their day as it unfolded (you might also remember their engagement photos we featured earlier this year).
The couple met at home – they grew up on the same street! Brooke tells “We actually both lived in the same street and met when we were 13 years old. We had a crush on each other for years and finally got together at the age of 20.”
I love a beautiful elopement – the romance? It is definitely there and it’s always incredibly overwhelming. Caroline and Matt’s tropical Bali elopement had them wed against the ocean and enjoy an intimate dinner for two by candlelight. They wanted to get back to what matters and they did it the way that worked for them. PhotoFactory Bali was there to capture their so very romantic wedding day.
There is nothing more romantic than a Parisian elopement and Lauren and Gerard’s secret wedding in the ultimate city of love certainly captured the complete and utter romance of their story! As studio manager of Sydney photography studio gm Photographics , Lauren chose lead photographer Graham Monro to capture her secret Paris marriage to Gerard!
I love a beautiful elopement and when Laura and Brad decided they wanted to elope rather than have the big wedding they’d started planning, they headed to Lake Louise in Canada and well, I couldn’t see a more stunning backdrop for a marriage! The incredible marriage ceremony was captured by One Edition Photography .
If the idea of a Las Vegas elopement fills you with visions of bright lights, tall towers and musical fountains, then today’s romantic Las Vegas elopement will force you to think again. On the beautiful El Dorado Dry Lake Bed, the duo was joined by their photographer Kristen Kay Photography and celebrant, for an unforgettable experience.
The cascading waterfall in a hidden Ubud spot was the most incredible backdrop for today’s elopement. The newlyweds, who cast their eye far and wide across the world, searching for that perfect spot to say their vows, landed on beautiful Bali. Captured by Maria Shiriaeva Photography, it was a day of romance, of beautiful intention and of a love story that was beautifully told.
