If there is a colour that in my humble opinion has been much under-loved over the years, it is indeed emerald green. The beautiful rich jewel tone seems to work with the pales of colours, like blush and pale mints, to bold fuschias, raisins and sapphires and most definitely knows how to hold its own. It became the star of the show in today’s shoot of romantic emerald Australian country wedding ideas and if all of the emerald details don’t help you fall in love with this stunning shade then nothing will!

Photographer Sheri McMahon Photography led the dream team, along with planner Ivory Lane. The duo choosing the country winery setting of Tangaratta Vineyard to set the scene. Model Claire Jurd took centre stage in a beautiful Goddess by Nature gown and romantic hair and makeup styled by Glamour Empire. Carrying a bouquet wrapped in the most brilliant emerald ribbon by Tall Poppy Florist who also created the stunning centrepiece of the greenery and fresh flower ceremony arch and beautiful table garland for the outdoor reception. The finishing touch? A beautiful emerald green and gold stationery suite, hand created by Small Brown Writes.

Sheri telling of their inspiration “Emerald green evokes luxury, elegance, sophistication and creates a just a little bit of drama. Gold was incorporated as an accent colour to contrast with the emerald. Highlights of blush pink and white were brought in through the florals and gowns to insinuate femininity and grace without clashing with the strong textures of the timber and deep emerald green.
The floral arrangement was an unstructured mix of Grandiflora garden roses, classic rose, asparagus fern with a touch of smokebush and dusty miller. We chose a strong textured wooden table base to reflect the floral table runner with gold cutlery and emerald napkins ties to bring it all together.”
