One of the biggest regrets that couples express about their wedding day is not having a cinematographer to document different aspects of the day. Brad of GMTMT Films is your go-to man for wedding films. He uses the landscape to give a sense of time and place with beautiful aerial shots that make you gaze in wonder, yet again, at the beautiful country in that we live. All the little details are important to him as they provide a more intimate take on the day by putting the couple front and centre of the film. “Heartfelt” is one word we’d use to describe these films and that is what will make you want to watch your film time and again.
We asked Brad of GMTMT Films five questions in five minutes:
What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?
Take the time to enjoy your engagement, it’s a precious moment. Don’t rush that feeling away by moving too fast. Make one, two and five year plans.
Tell us about a hidden talent you have?
I’m actually really good on a set of roller skates!
As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?
Having the license to create and also getting to see both bride and groom getting ready before they get to see each other.
What are you known for?
My ability to compose and hold a shot for the amount of time it needs. It may be 10 seconds or some drone shots go for two minutes. Nerves of steel; that’s me!
If you could choose a song to play for the rest of your life what would it be?
‘Time of your Life’ by Green Day. It’s an amazingly reflective piece of music.
