About the location
Acquired in 2014 by Scottish tennis player, Andy Murray, Cromlix is a Victorian Perthshire mansion turned into a five-star escape. You’ll find Cromlix tucked away in 34 acres of beautiful woodlands and gardens. Just a short 45-minute drive from either Edinburgh or Glasgow, in the UK.
About the accommodation
Reopened as a five-star hotel in 2014, Cromlix has a detailed history leading as far back as the 15th century. Now, the luxury property features 15 rooms, including five suites. You’ll also enjoy a library, pool table, whisky room, bar and a drawing room.
For a destination wedding, the hotel could be the perfect location with private dining options for up to 60 guests, marquee garden arrangements for up to 300 guests, and a chapel that can accommodate intimate wedding ceremonies of up to 30 guests.
About the photo
You could not have a hotel owned by a tennis superstar and not have it feature a tennis court! At Cromlix, tennis fans can experience a coaching session by expert Daniel Alexander Reed. You can even purchase packages that test your skills beyond the coaching experience and give you a chance to participate in round-robin tournaments and of course, a meal to eat with your success.
If tennis isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy during your stay. Enjoy in-room spa treatments, archery, garden games and fishing on the loch.
Luxury is not just confined to your room. Dine at Chez Roux Restaurant, run by the award-winning head chef Darin Campbell and overseen by French Chef Albert Roux. Treat your palate to a delicious à la carte menu served for lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
