It was just like walking onto a movie set. From the moment the tree-lined driveway opened up to reveal the the fountain and facade of the Quamby Estate homestead, I knew we were about to capture a spectacular wedding – and from the look of the smiling couple – they knew it too.
Hayley and Sam met in Melbourne seven years prior but both grew up in rural Tasmania. Was it fate that they met? More likely a “statistical probability” joked Sam, putting on his math teacher cap. Either way there’s no equation that could demystify the warmth, chemistry and compassion radiating from this couple on their wedding day.
Initially, Hayley and Sam weren’t sure about including video in their wedding until Sam’s parents dusted off their wedding VHS for a family viewing. It was then they knew they couldn’t miss out on having their own visual time-capsule to enjoy with their children one day. I’m so appreciative that they went “all-in” and also selected drone videography. The vision of Hayley walking down the aisle with the Tasmanian countryside as a backdrop was purely cinematic. From a filmmaking perspective, the entirety of the footage captured was a joy to craft together.
Well, wasn’t that beautiful and moving. From the incredible drone videography that bought the landscape alive, to the gorgeous banter between the obviously very close bridesmaids to that powerful walk down the aisle alone after honouring her father with an empty chair. I am blown away. Well done to all the vendors that worked on this beautiful wedding.
