Being at home at the moment means nights out at trendy bars are off the cards for a while. So this Cocktail Friday, rather than bringing you a tantalising creation from one of our county’s finest cocktail bars or eateries (that we cannot wait to get back to!) we have put together a round up of Polka Dot Made’s five favourite cocktails to enjoy at home. We call it the Isolation Compilation.

Shake it, stir it, pour it, and jump online for a virtual night out with the girls. Enjoy!

1) Apple Pie Delight

I don’t know about you, but this staying at home business is bringing out the Betty Crocker in me. Banana bread, cakes, cookies, you name it. And the Apple Pie Delight represents the ultimate in baked comfort food – but in liquid form! Don’t mind if I do…

2) Lay Low’s Burgandy Flip

This one had me at Lay Low… How could it not make the Isolation Cocktail Top 5? With its cosy flavours and eco-conscious focus, the Burgandy Flip is basically good for you and the planet! Right?… Right?

3) P.S I Love You

Being couped up can make us go a little stir crazy and perhaps a little snappy. This romantic and sentimental cocktail is a gentle reminder to be patient and kind to one another. And whether it be turning to those with you at home or picking up the phone, we would all appreciate hearing those three little words right now. On a lighter note, the P.S. I Love You is also perfect for a rom-com movie marathon on Netflix Party with your best gal pals!

4) The Spiked Organic Cucumber Lemonade

We’ve chosen The Spiked Organic Cucumber Lemonade for its freshness and simplicity. You may already have all these ingredients on hand too! It also has that late summer, afternoons in the sun feeling about it. Ahhhh. Take us back!

5) Old Fashioned Cocktail

The classic elegance of the Old Fashioned makes it worthy of our list. C’mon, get out of your trackies (for an hour tops), pop on a frock and a coat of lippy and dust off your grandpa’s crystal low ball glasses – it’s a fancy night in chez vous!

Ms Floral Says: Five comforting friends… err, I mean, cocktails… to get us through isolation! The only problem is deciding which one to whip up and drink first!
