Hi Dotties.
Is it just me or was I the only person not sipping cocktails by the Mediterranean this Australian winter? While I sat here in my uggies, sunning myself vicariously through my Instagram feed, it felt like the rest of the world was jetting around the globe on holiday or honeymoon and attending phenomenal destination weddings on Bali beaches, in French Chateaux or romantic Italian Villas. (Sigh)
But hey, who needs Positano when you have positivity, right..?
As we hit the half way mark of our INVITATIONS issue (and the near end of winter!) here are five amazing and different destination weddings featured on Polka Dot Bride I sure wish I’d been invited to this winter.

“If a wedding with bright coloured walls, blow up flamingos, the brightest of blooms and a ceremony by a pool sounds like it’s your kind of jam then Sarah and Lach’s wedding is going to be right up your alley. The pair, decided that with most of their favourite memories on Bali’s shores, what better place to tie the knot? And in luxe tropical style, they did! Oh and can we talk about the groom’s dapper green suit?”

“It’s an unusual one as we decided to get married before we were engaged” shares today’s bride Astrid. “We’d be planning a 5 week holiday in Europe, joined by friends and family along the way. One night while we were planning our trip, we got to talking about how many of our loved ones would be over there with us, and how great it would be to get married. I called my mum straight away and told her the news.”

“In the depths of winter, the one thing that can lift us out of the cold is dreaming of sunshine-filled European holidays. Today’s destination wedding ticks all the boxes for a loved-up, sunny celebration on the sweetest, tiniest island of Kastellorizo in Greece.”

“The desert plains of Las Vegas set the scene for Chelsey and Rob’s Las Vegas destination wedding. The couple, who met through a mutual friend, Tony Evans was there to capture the hot, sunshine filled day. Chelsey and Rob wanted their wedding to not just be one day, hiring a Las Vegas homestead and inviting their friends and family from across the world to join their celebrations.”

“We do adore a destination wedding here at Polka Dot Bride and Anna and Paul’s choice of a Lisbon destination wedding may have just enchanted our Portugal loving hearts! Anna and Paul worked with Piteira Photography  to capture their beautiful day.”
